Job Type: Umbraco Backend Developer (Permanent / Full Time)

You’ll be working with colleagues as part of a multifaceted team of developers and designers, and with project management and client services teams, to deliver an exciting variety of projects for a wide range of clients: from web applications, ecommerce and CMS-driven websites, to CRM systems and integration components.

You’ll take an active and central role in the full lifecycle of our clients’ digital projects,  from specification to development and implementation, right through to ongoing support – all the while staying ahead of the game when it comes to best practice, innovation and evolving industry standards and technologies.

You’ll also be expected to mentor and share your knowledge with your fellow team members, and to really lead the way in encouraging a healthy exchange of knowledge, learning and ideas between you all.

Considerable experience working as a .NET developer

Highly accomplished in:

  • Umbraco Version 7+
  • DevOps Automation e.g. MS DevOps
  • System integrationsg. Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, SagePay, PayPal, etc
  • Server/Hosting Environments g. MS Azure, Windows Server with IIS, AWS
  • C# with NET Framework 4.0+
  • Testing and Debugging
  • Relational Databases g. MS SQL
  • Documentation g. Specification writing, procedure writing
  • MVC & Razor
  • Source Control Systems g. Git (via MS DevOps), TFS
  • HTML
  • FrontEnd Languages & Frameworks g. Javascript, AngularJS, Angular 2.0+
  • Web protocols g. HTTP, FTP, SSL, DNS, SMTP

A good working knowledge of:

  • Web Security g. Content security policies, web application firewalls, protection against DDOS, XSS and CSRF
  • Structured File/Data Formats g. JSON, XML and XML Transforms
  • SEO & Analytics, 3rd Party Script Management g. Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics WebAPI g. creation of ASP.NET WebAPI endpoints, creation of serializable models, API authentication/authorisation
