Summary:

We're in search of a talented, experienced, and passionate Senior Umbraco Developer / Umbraco Lead. You'll bring a deep understanding of the Umbraco CMS to the table and lead the design, development, and deployment of bespoke digital solutions for our clients within a dynamic, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll spearhead projects across a wide array of industries, working with our multi-disciplinary team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with UX, Design, and Development teams to transform design concepts into polished web solutions ready for client delivery.
• Enhancing our proprietary Umbraco sitebuilder package, boilerplate, and project templates to improve efficiency and streamline the development process.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to other developers within the team.
• Converting designs and UX wireframes into high-quality, functional web solutions.
• Constructing efficient content management structures within Umbraco to simplify content handling and ongoing management for clients.
• Interpreting clients' business requirements and high-level software specifications to create tailored solutions.
• Actively participating in the discovery phase of new projects to shape their scope and direction.
• Following our agile methodology effectively, participating in team scrums and code reviews to provide and receive feedback.
• Managing your time efficiently and planning tasks collaboratively with the team.
• Functioning as a project lead, overseeing the delivery of projects, and guiding others within the function.
• Identifying potential issues, escalating them when necessary, and providing practical solutions.
• Assisting in the maintenance of core systems as part of the wider support team, addressing tickets as per our service level agreements (SLAs).
• Advising on best practices, security, and performance to ensure websites are delivered to the highest standard.
• Collaborating with the team using Git for peer code reviews.

Candidate Requirements:

Required Skills / Abilities

• Extensive knowledge in building websites using Umbraco V7/8/9/10+.
• Ability to develop fully responsive web solutions from flat design prototypes.
• Practical experience in C#, .NET / .NET Core, SQL, MVC / Razor, WCF services, Web API's, MS Workflow, Bootstrap, jQuery, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in using Bootstrap, JavaScript, Git, SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Keen eye for detail, ensuring designs stay true to the creative intent.
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Passionate about digital technologies and their transformative impact on our lifestyle and work.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience integrating with various third-party APIs.
• Familiarity with task tracking and estimating in a DevOps / Agile environment.

Desirable Skills / Abilities

• Experience with Umbraco Cloud, Baseline projects, and working across multiple environments, demonstrating an understanding of diverse deployment settings.
• Practical experience using USkinned to develop Umbraco websites, showcasing familiarity with this essential Umbraco development tool.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud security, showing an ability to navigate and secure cloud-based solutions effectively.
