Summary:

We're looking for a full time UK or Europe based developer to join our team building awesome websites, systems and tools for theme parks, zoos and attractions.

Company & Job Specifics:

We need help on a mix of existing Umbraco clients (from V7 up) as well as new site builds, and help to create our new LOOP online platform for attractions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Help code and build Semantic client websites, our LOOP platform and modules/integrations as needed.
• Help ensure websites stay up-to-date, fast and are free of technical issues
• Supporting the team and clients with their technical needs and working with the PM/AM team to follow up
• Ensure that all build work done on the client websites follows any specification
• You’ll be responsible for checking everything you’ve built in a variety of browsers works well across the standard Semantic support browser list, including ensuring that work passed to the next team member is bug free
• Monthly monitoring of each of the client websites including error logs, security checks, hosting checks, broken links and any issues with hacking or bots on a site
• Ensure that client websites are up to date with the latest software and patches.
• Be proactive in learning about all aspects of websites, coding, infrastructure and potential new systems/opportunities
• Be responsive/proactive to both the clients and the internal team, enabling fast turnaround of issues & challenges

Candidate Requirements:

Must be UK or Europe based, with great communication skills for UK/English-based clients.

Essential Skills & Experience

• ASP.NET coding experience, including module/feature development, databases, APIs and integrations
• Ideally familiar with building websites in Umbraco
• Skilled in some (or all) of the following; C#, .NET, Rest APIs, SQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Git, Agile Environment
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS/SASS and JavaScript
• Experience in responsive design and mobile web development
• Understanding of usability, web accessibility and cross-browser/platform issues
• Strong verbal and written communication ability
• Proactive approach to your task and time management as part of a team
• You’ll have strong expertise in the following tools which we use at Semantic - eg. Visual Studio, Git, DevOps
