How to Install Umbraco 8 Using SQL Server

In this blog post i will break down how to Install Umbraco 8 using SQL Server. 


*If you do not know how to Install Umbraco 8 Manually you will need to go read my blog article about how that is done before continuing.*

So now you know how to install Umbraco 8 on you local machine I will show you how to Install Using SQL Server

Step 1. (Follow the instructions on how to install Umbraco 8 Manually From Step 1 - Step 9)

After filling in you Full Name, Email and Password DO NOT CLICK CONTINUE! "Click Customize instead" 

Step 2. If you do not already have a database you will need to create one now

Step 3. On the next screen click continue once, Then on the next screen "Configure your database" choose Microsoft SQL Server and then fill out your Server Domain, Database Name, Database login and Database Password. Leave the tick Box unchecked and click continue.

Step 4. Now you will be asked to choose if you want to add a starter website or not for a New website with nothing on it choose continue without starter site.

Now if you followed every Step correctly you will now be in the Umbraco 8 back office for you new website and your database will be stored on SQL servers.
